Rescue & Conservation
Frequently Asked Questions
I have had a life-long passion for reptiles and wildlife. Together with my family, we have begun creating a sanctuary for them. We give unwanted pet reptiles a home. Every animal has a custom-designed habitat to meet their specific needs. If you have a reptile, amphibian, hermit crab, or other pets you can’t keep, let us know and we will either give your pet a home or help you find a rescue or sanctuary that can take them.
Do you accept dogs, cats, parrots, or pigs?
NO. We do not have the space these animals need.
Do you accept farm livestock or chickens?
Due to my love of poultry I have a hard time turning away one in need of a home. I have limitations but We DO take poultry (Turkeys, Geese, Ducks, Chickens, Guineas, Quail, and Pigeons) In addition to the reptiles, we have a small hobby farm. Eventually we will move to a larger property with more space but for now we can take poultry in need of a home. The exception to this is NO more roosters. We have too many.
Do you accept small mammals like bunnies?
NO. At this time we are Reptile & Amphibian focused. Also Hermit Crabs and other types of crabs because I love them too.
What do you feed the reptiles?
We buy humanely raised rodents that are sent to us already killed & frozen. They are killed quickly and humanely so they never suffer. We thaw out the ones we need for feeding day and it is really that simple.
Do you buy reptiles that people can’t keep or don’t want?
No. We don’t buy unwanted pets. The reason is that we only take reptiles that are in need of an immediate home due to unforeseen circumstances for the owners. We don’t sell reptiles that come to us like this so we spend a lot of money on them while we have them. The friendly ones will join our upcoming educational program and help us teach kids about them.
Are you a non-profit rescue?
No. I chose to set up our company as an LLC instead of a non-profit because it makes the most sense to me. It’s very expensive to get a nonprofit started and there are strict rules that I don’t feel are necessary for our goals as a business.
Instead of soliciting donations, we will have lots of amazing products for sale and the profit from selling those will go into our reptile sanctuary. We love reptiles! Every item sold helps us build habitats, buy food, add enrichment items to current habitats, Vet care for sick animals, and much more.
